The aim of the Free State of Bavaria is to create nationwide high-speed networks by 2018 and the modern broadband standard for citizens and businesses. The expansion in rural areas plays a particularly important role. On July 9, 2014, the funding program was approved by the EU Commission by the State Ministry of Finance, State Development and Homeland.
